This post is for the more tech savvy among you:
On Monday, July 30, 2018 Monday, August 20, 2018 (MDT), Church Community Builder will be instituting new per-minute API rate limiting, in addition to our current per-day rate limits for the API. If your church currently uses the Church Community Builder API to access data, be sure to read this API Rate Limiting Guide to ensure your calls are not interrupted when these rate limits go into effect.
Note: The release date has been extended to allow more time for developers to make any necessary adjustments to their calls.

Why this change?
We want to do everything we can to maintain system uptime while still giving you complete access to the data you need. To do this, we need to ensure that requests are made at a reasonable and sustainable rate. When too many requests come in at once, it can cause problems with the Church Community Builder site for you and other church leaders.
How can I prepare for this change?
We have provided HTTP Headers in our response to API calls. These HTTP Response Header values provide an easy way for you to safely meter your usage of our API and determine the rate limiting status per API Service. These response headers are already implemented and available for you to use, so you can begin altering your clients to adhere to the new rate limits. Be sure to read this API Rate Limiting Guide to see examples of how to use these response headers.
The guide also provides tips to help you avoid being rate limited once this change goes into effect.
