We care deeply about your security, and we respect and value an individual’s right to privacy. We want to demonstrate that we are a company you can trust with your data, which is why, over the past several months, our team has been working hard to bring our company into compliance with GDPR and CCPA — policies designed to give people more awareness and control over how their data is being collected and used. We have updated our Privacy Policy to reflect these changes and we are implementing a new opt-in procedure in the software. Learn more about this new privacy policy and how these changes will affect the way you access our software.
New Login Experience
One of the most significant changes to our policy is making sure that everyone consents to their data being collected before they interact with our tools. Therefore, starting on May 19, 2020, we’ll be rolling out a new login experience that requires all of your users to opt-in to our privacy policy. (Release date subject to change if complications arise).
After a user hits the Login button, they’ll be presented with a checkbox informing them:
We've made updates to our privacy policy, please accept to continue.
After they check the box, the login button will re-enable and they’ll be able to access the software. NOTE: Please be aware that your users will not be able to log into the software until this privacy policy is accepted.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who does this change apply to?
Everyone who logs in to the software will experience this new checkbox, including Limited Access Users, Basic Users, and Admins.
Do I have to check this box every time I log in?
No. After you check this box once, you won’t have to opt-in again unless we make significant changes to our Privacy Policy. We don’t anticipate making frequent changes to this policy, and we’ll let you know when we do.
Where will I encounter this new experience?
When this is first released to your site, you might experience this checkbox in any place that you log in to Church Community Builder tools:
- Browser login page
- Login on browser Check-In (if you’re logging in as yourself, not as a station)
- Logging in via the Check-In app (if you’re logging in as yourself, not as a station)
- Accessing a file that requires login
- Accessing a form that requires login
- Logging in via the LEAD app
Once you accept the privacy policy in one of these places, you won’t have to accept it again in any other location.
Changes to the Privacy Policy
The new Privacy Policy can be found here, so you can review these changes before the Opt-In experience goes into place. Here are some of the significant changes:
- Policy written in plain language so it’s easy to understand
- Information on the specific data we collect
- Information on what we do with collected data
- A thorough list of any 3rd-party applications we may share your data with, in order to better serve you (Note: we will not share this data for marketing purposes)
- Your data rights
What if I have questions or concerns with the data being collected?

Removing Data from Church Community Builder Software?
At this time, we do not allow you to delete a person’s profile from within the software. If a member of your church community reaches out and requests that their data is removed, please submit a support ticket and our team will assist in removing the data for you.
NOTE: If one of your congregants reaches out to us and requests that their data be removed from your sites, we are obligated to comply with that request. In that case, we will be sure to reach out to your site’s Master Administrator and inform them of the request we've received and what steps we will be taking prior to removing that data.
About GDPR & CCPA
The European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) are laws that have gone into place regarding protecting people’s privacy and information through secure data practices. At a high level, these policies cover:
- Defining PII (Personally Identifiable Information)
- Requiring consent to have your data collected and stored
- Establishing your rights to have access to information regarding your data
- Establishing your rights and procedures to request data removal
- Specifying Data Security requirements
